We discovered this restaurant on one of our random exploratory drives and thoroughly recommend it.

The “find” is L’Auberge du Presbytère in Vailhan (34320).

The restaurant is in a former Presbytère attached to a church and has a simple but outstanding menu which would rival some top restaurants in big cities but without the price tag.

Check out their website www.aubergedupresbytere.fr

To get there from Fontes: GPS  N43.55460° – E3.29853°

For those without GPS and wanting a more interesting drive, head out of Fontes on the D124 heading towards Cabrières. At the T-Junction turn left on the D15 heading towards Neffiès.

This is a very scenic road so take time to experience the views. On a clear day you get a good view of the Pyrenees.

After a few kilometres there is a road on the right for Vailhan.  Proceed onto this and after some spectacular countryside you will arrive in Vailhan. The restaurant is well signposted from here.

We hope that you enjoy the experience as much as we have.
